So I’m finally going to try to start posting regularly again. I’m in the process of downloading an app for my iPhone that will let me edit wordpress posts with more than one photo.
The last several months have been chock full of hard work, planning, dreaming and lots of dirt. I’ve managed to put in a new vegetable garden, a 20 plant raspberry patch, a 8 bush blueberry patch (complete with soil amending, pine needle mulch and regular pH checks), a three sisters bed of corn, pumpkin and beans grown in a traditional native american garden, three strawberry beds of garden variety, wild virginiana and alpine strawberries, and two new perennial beds of primarily poppies, mullein and foxglove.
Whew!
On top of that, since moving into our excellent little stone house we have adopted a new dog (Basil), rescued a stray kitty (Harrison Bertrim Wooster Leto Bastian), raised four Khaki Campbell ducks (Fleur, Bill, Tonks and Remus) and watched them hatch one duckling of their own (as yet unnamed), and we have begun planning for the arrival of two bred ewes this fall, both scrapie registered Blue-Faced Leicester, bred to a natural color ram for lambs in the spring.
Oh! And we’re still planning the wedding. Planning and planning and planning… less than … four months? yikes.
I’m hoping this new app will let me post the crazy number of photos that I find myself itching to post to facebook, but resist based on the assumption that no one really wants to see sixteen photographs of strawberry plants…
